The Guaxing Expressway (from Guazhou to Xingxingxia) is a component of the G30 Lianyungang-Horgos Expressway in China’s national expressway network, and also serves as a major land transportation route connecting eastern and southwest provinces/municipalities of China to Xinjiang. The Senfa team was well aware that this task was not only honorable but also extremely arduous.

First, Product Quality.The vast desert where the expressway is located is a world-famous "wind storehouse," with strong winds blowing year-round—gales of force 9 or above are quite common. How to ensure the wind resistance of the products? Wei Sen, General Manager, emphasized: "Safety and reputation come first; costs and profits come second." The Quality Office, in collaboration with the Design Department, held a briefing themed "Prioritize Reputation Over Gains." On the basis of the technical parameters specified in the contract, they increased the diameter of the steel poles and the thickness of the steel plates. In terms of material procurement, strict verification was conducted on suppliers: suppliers were required to provide quality certificates and physical-chemical test reports for raw materials, and the Quality Inspection Department carried out inspections in accordance with standards to eliminate the use of substandard materials.

Second, On-Site Construction."Endless sky, boundless wilderness, a vast expanse without a single soul for miles; no rain, only wind that never ceases, sand covering every corner indoors and out; scorching sun, huge temperature differences, dry skin, chapped lips, and sun-burnt faces." Reciting this self-composed doggerel, the on-site project manager could never forget the bitter yet memorable stories of their camp. On extremely windy days, it was even hard to stand steady—masks were utterly useless, as sand would blow through them and choke the throat. For workers, climbing 30 meters up the light poles was an even more nerve-wracking challenge! "Despite the harsh conditions, if we look at it from another angle, we can appreciate the vast beauty of the Gobi, which broadens our minds," the on-site workers always faced difficulties with an optimistic attitude.

Third, Tight Construction Schedule.Even before the contract was signed, the client had issued a rigid deadline: the expressway must open to traffic by the end of the year. When the project team arrived at the site in November, there was no electricity or water available locally, making the initial phase of construction extremely difficult. The project team was confronted with unprecedented hardships and pressure. However, pressure only fueled the determination of the Senfa team! They conducted in-depth research on the construction technology of each process based on the project’s characteristics and difficulties, organized numerous plan discussion meetings, Consider all solutions in the smallest possible detail and schedule the work plan for each day.

Finally, Senfa street lights shone brilliantly and beautifully in the depths of the desert, meeting both the schedule and high-quality standards. In the comprehensive inspection and evaluation conducted by the client, all products passed the assessment in one go.
